How To Clone A Buyer In Lead Prosper

Cloning a buyer in Lead Prosper is quick and easy. Whether you’re duplicating a buyer within the same campaign or cloning a buyer from a different campaign, the process takes just a few minutes.

Follow the steps below to clone a buyer and ensure it’s properly configured before going live.

Step 1: Navigate to Buyers and Create a New Entry

  1. Open your campaign in Lead Prosper.
  2. Go to Buyers and click New.

Step 2: Import the Buyer from an Existing Campaign

  1. Select the Import option.
  2. Choose the campaign where the buyer you want to clone exists:
    • If you’re duplicating a buyer within the same campaign, select your current campaign from the Campaign Source dropdown.
    • If you’re cloning a buyer from a different campaign, select that campaign from the Campaign Source dropdown.
  3. Click Select Buyer Source and choose the buyer you want to clone from the list.
  4. Click Import to proceed.

Step 3: Review the Cloned Buyer Settings

Once the import is complete, you’ll be redirected to the new Buyer’s page. The cloned buyer will include all settings from the original, including:

✅ Buyer Name + Nickname

✅ Pricing Options

✅ Cap Settings

✅ Static Fields

✅ Filters

✅ Buyer Payloads & Response Mapping

Step 4: Make Any Necessary Adjustments

Now that the buyer is cloned, you can modify any settings as needed. Common updates include:

  • Updating the Buyer Nickname for clarity.
  • Modifying API Keys in the buyer payloads if required.

Step 5: Test and Activate the Cloned Buyer

By default, all new buyers—including cloned buyers—are set to Paused. Before activating, follow these steps:

  1. Use the Test Buyer Tool to ensure everything is working correctly.
  2. Send a test file to your buyer to confirm the integration is functioning as expected.

  3. Once your buyer confirms everything is good, change the buyer’s status to Resume to go live.
